Group Therapy
Find Your Village Support Group
That village it takes to raise a child? It can also take a village to adjust to this new phase of motherhood. This support group is a space to reflect on the many changes accompanying the postpartum experience and gain:
A renewed sense of self that includes your new identity as a mom
An understanding of your priorities and how you can begin to balance them
Nurturance of your attachment to your baby
Clarity in your relationships with friends, family, and partners
Space to work through body image concerns and sexuality
Screenings for postpartum depression and anxiety
Focus on your mental health and how to adapt previous methods of self-care
Support from others going through what you’re going through at the same time
This is a closed group to foster a sense of community, safety, and support. It can be difficult to connect to even the closest of friends after having a baby, perhaps because they aren’t going through what you’re going through at the same time. In time, you will make your way back to those relationships. Having additional support to lean on can alleviate the stress on those friendships while still connecting with others and embracing this time for what it can be.
Get in touch ahead of your delivery to learn more and register for the group. Group runs on Wednesdays at 12:00 PM.
